Laurel Highlands Workforce & Opportunity Center Graduation

Patrick R. Wallace |

While we have prioritized financial planning, estate planning, and customized portfolio management, we have also remained focused on being a good corporate citizen and improving our community.

Last Friday, the Laurel Highlands Workforce and Opportunity Center graduated 22 Clinical Medical Assistants and Patient Services Associates after a seven-month training program. These graduates are entering a profession that urgently needs dedicated, skilled, and compassionate individuals. Communities need healthcare workers who show up with integrity. Patients need professionals who care. Healthcare teams need colleagues who are reliable, capable, and committed to excellence. Now, we have 22 new Medical Assistants joining those ranks: 22 people who chose growth over comfort, 22 people who chose opportunity over uncertainty, and 22 people who chose to build a future through hard work and determination. While there were only 22 graduates in this session, it was our largest class to date, and the impact of their work will extend to hundreds, perhaps thousands, of lives throughout their careers.

As they move forward, they carry with them the lessons learned at the Laurel Highlands Workforce and Opportunity Center. They carry the confidence that comes from preparation, the resilience that comes from overcoming challenges, and the pride of knowing they earned this achievement through dedication and perseverance. Most importantly, they carry the understanding that their work matters. Every patient matters. Every interaction matters. We celebrate these graduates for their accomplishments today. Tomorrow, the world will benefit from their talents. Our community will be stronger as a result of their efforts.
