2025 MIDYEAR UPDATE AND NEW STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT

Patrick R. Wallace |

As we reach the midpoint of 2025, we’re pleased to share several important developments and strategic updates that reflect our continued commitment to serving our clients with excellence. The first half of the year has brought meaningful progress and new opportunities. In this midyear update, we highlight key initiatives, staff announcements and what they mean for our client’s financial planning and investment goals moving forward.

Covington Investment App: Thank You for Engaging

We’d like to take a moment to once again highlight the Covington Investment App and extend our sincere thanks to all clients who have downloaded and actively used this valuable tool. In our previous blog earlier this month, we shared that 30% of our client relationships have installed the app – we are excited to see that percentage increase to 36%.  The engagement in your client portal helps us enhance the way we deliver information, provide customer support, and facilitate access to your investment accounts.  If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, it’s available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. To continue supporting a smooth technological experience, we’ve also included helpful app resources and guides on our website. As always, if you have any questions, need assistance, or would like to share feedback about the app, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office. We’re here to help.

Staff Announcements:

In his role, he collaborates closely with the Investment Committee to ensure that all recommendations align with each client’s long-term objectives.  As stated, Mr. Devlin is beginning his professional career at Covington Investment Advisors as he recently graduated earning a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Business Economics.  He is further continuing his education by studying to obtain his Series 65 license and Certified Financial Planner certification.

We’re pleased to welcome Mr. Devlin to Covington Investment Advisors and look forward to the contributions he will make to support our clients’ financial success.

Colten McCutcheon – Relationship Manager and Assistant Portfolio Manager

We are pleased to officially welcome Colten McCutcheon to Covington Investment Advisors to serve as a Relationship Manager and Assistant Portfolio Manager.  Throughout the firm’s internal succession planning this role was identified as a priority to ensure the firm’s capacity in relationship management as the firm’s relationships expand.  His role is an additional client-focused position designed to enhance the service and support we provide to our clients as we grow.

Mr. McCutcheon is local to western Pennsylvania and is a graduate from St. Vincent College where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance.  Over the last three years he has worked at BNY Mellon supporting multiple lines of business across investment and wealth management. He first started his career at BNY Mellon in their Finance Summer Analyst Program, then transitioned to their Global Financial Leadership Program and most recently holding the position of Financial Analyst.  During this time, Mr. McCutcheon gained valuable insight into the strategies top firms use to grow and retain client relationships, reinforcing a strong belief in the power of a client-first approach.  In addition to professional experience, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to continue his education, having successfully passed all three levels of the CFA Program.  Mr. McCutcheon also brings strong communication skills to the firm, honed through internal and external presentations at the executive level and in academic settings.

Mr. McCutcheon will work closely with our Lead Advisor, playing an integral role in managing client relationships and supporting investment management activities. His role is centered on building strong, lasting connections through proactive communication, strategic outreach, and attentive service. In addition to supporting existing clients, Mr. McCutcheon will also identify and engage prospective clients, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed with thoughtful, personalized solutions.  This position involves regular client interaction through meetings, follow-ups, and networking opportunities aimed at delivering a consistent, high-quality client experience.  We look forward to the positive impact Mr. McCutcheon will have on our clients and the continued growth of our firm.

Covington’s May Anniversaries

In May, we were proud to have several staff anniversaries at Covington.  May 29th marked Cindy Jones 13th year working at Covington.  In our Happy New Year! blog we announced her promotion to Chief Operating Officer.  Mrs. Jones continues to serve as our Chief Compliance Officer and Portfolio Manager.  Since 2012 she has made significant contributions to both our clients and the firm through her dedication, professionalism and deep commitment to excellence in client service and portfolio management.

May 12th marked Hannah Patton’s 11th year working at the firm.  Mrs. Patton started her professional career at the firm after graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and serves as the firm’s Client Services Administrator. She plays a vital role in supporting the firm’s mission of delivering a seamless and personalized client experience. We are grateful for her responsiveness and the high level of service she has provided to clients over the last eleven years.

May 14th marked Nick Allen’s 7th year here at Covington.  Also, in our Happy New Year! blog we announced his promotion to Portfolio Manager and Research Analyst. Mr. Allen has worked hard over the last seven years, from starting as an intern to where he is today.  He oversees the trading desk at Covington, managing daily trade execution, block trading and ensuring that client portfolios are rebalanced efficiently and in line with their investment strategies.  He continues to provide thorough market research and analyses, and we are grateful for his market insight, disciplined approach to portfolio management, and ongoing commitment to our clients’ long-term success.

In closing, on May 10th the firm itself reached a milestone of 22 years in business.  We are deeply grateful for the trust and confidence our clients have had in Covington over the last 22 years. It is a privilege to work with our clients in navigating life’s financial decisions and helping each individual client pursue their long-term financial and estate planning goals. Our continued growth and success are made possible by the relationships we’ve built, and we remain committed to delivering the personalized, high-quality service each client and their families deserve. Thank you all for being an integral part of our journey and we look forward to serving you for many years to come.

Warmest of personal regards,

Pat
